Chapter 5: Awesome Guys Know Their Statistics Very Well
It was a crazy night ride in an FX (a mode of transportation with air conditioning) headed home from work when me and my officemates talked about some random stuffs. Sometimes, when we got bored in the FX ride, we see to it that there are some things that we can talk about for us not to get bored during the whole 20 to 30 minutes ride, depending on the heaviness of the traffic.
And so, this is always our seating arrangement setup. I always seat at the back of the FX where two of four people can seat side by side, two on each side facing each other. Based from the number of people going in the same direction as we headed home, we are about six, four people can seat at the back, and two of my officemates can seat in front. However, there are some days that only two people can seat at the back, two at the middle row, and two in front.
Anyway, one night, we rode the FX going to a place where we part ways going home. Six of us where in the same FX ride, four were strangers and the driver, which makes us 11 inside the FX ride. Four of us managed to ride at the back and two at the middle row. At this position, we can still hear each other when we talk about random things at the back.
So, it was a crazy night, traffic as usual. The FX ride was taking a bit too long. After about 20 minutes of ride, a stranger, asked the driver to stop by to the nearest sidewalk. A few minutes later, another one stranger asked to drop him at the street near the police station. And then the FX ride continued its ride until it reached our destination without stopping or dropping someone from the ride.
So what's conclusion can we get from here? Simple. 2 out of 10 people will stop by at a nearest street in every FX ride! True story.
