Back in 2006, I got my second job as a writer in a science magazine. This is where I met my (now former) officemate, Earlie, the one who introduced me to the world of blogging. Since then, my life has never been the same again because blogging really rocks my world.
I started blogging in free-service blogging platforms. I first tried using blogdrive.com. Then, after a few months, I discovered the beauty of using blogger.com in my blogging career. I also used wordpress.com for some reasons, but in the end, I always find myself coming back to blogger.com. Blogging helped me improve my English language skills. In my profession as a writer, blogging can help as a tool for practicing your English writing skills. And so, I blog and blog up until now.
It is a life-long dream for a blogger like me who blogs for several years now to have their very own domain name. In the blogging world, having a domain name is such a big issue. It's like wearing clothes with holes if you don't have a domain name of your own. What's the purpose of being a blogger if you can't afford a domain name, right? Well... right and wrong? Right, because domain names are only whims (caprichos) and wrong, because you can always blog whenever you want in any free-service blogging platforms. But then again, it is just me talking... and my awesomeness is oozing out like crazy! It's up to you if you believe me or not. Anyway, I'm awesome! Hahaha!
As I said earlier, when Steve Jobs was still developing Mac, he was really thinking of me. And I'm not lying. My blogging career started with a Mac. The office uses Mac computers and most publication houses do. But then again, the idea of Mac was created because of me is achieved because Mac computers are awesome and I am simply awesome.
Anyway, a more experienced blogger would always push you to buy a domain name of your own for a more professional blogging experience. For a real blogger who makes a career out of it, blogging with their own domain name is really something enjoyable to follow. In this way, blogging will become cooler and your status as a blogger will upgrade to a next level — awesomenesss. True story.
So, if you want to achieve a next level of your blogging career, I am telling you to buy your own domain name! Who cares where it is hosting, right? For as long as you have your own domain name, you can be a very awesome blogger like me! And so, here I am now, blogging at my very own awesome website.
